“Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You.” (Psalm 73 v 25)
Blessed be everybody!
For we, God’s family,
Are the Lord Jesus’ body
Here on earth to serve.
The Saviour’s eyes and ears
Hands and feet are ours,
As we meet with each other.
Love we discover
In this friendship with Jesus,
Overcomes hurts and the harms of satan.
Love hides insecurity and anxiety.
Love releases addictions and evil’s inflictions.
Love sets free resentment and discontentment
Which divide and separate us.
The healing love is in Christ Jesus,
Because His heart is pure,
Consisting of nothing but loving kindness,
Mercy, faithfulness towards us.
This is self-giving love
Giving of the love Jesus shares
With the Father and the Spirit.
In our Saviour Brother,
We gain the love of the Trinity,
All that our Father wills and wishes
Planning to work through the Holy Spirit
As often as we turn to Jesus.
We live in Him daily
For Jesus to live in us continuously.
There are so many needs to be met:
Poverty, loneliness, rejection, isolation,
Unemployment, disagreements, unfairness,
Hunger, enmity, homelessness, despair.
We have to work for repair,
Doing this through the Spirit of Jesus,
The Counsellor and Advocate,
The Life Enhancer through love’s dedication.
“Rid yourselves of every negative thing, being bitter in your attitudes, being angry and resentful. Do not get into disputes with others, especially physical ones! Do not slander others or have any malicious attitudes towards them. Instead be kind and compassionate to one another, always ready to forgive in the same way that, through Christ, God has always been willing to forgive you!” (Ephesians 4 v 30, 31, 32 The Truth)
True veneration is love given practically,
Generously, lavishly even,
Sparing no time, cost nor energy.
For we, acting as family
Offer the love of the Father,
Son and Holy Spirit uncompromisingly.
Letting others see the blessings,
Richness spiritually, the many benefits of faith.
Only love can re-connect us to wholeness.
Only holy love mends our brokenness,
Healing completely in the name of Jesus.
This is the reality we offer,
So God’s people no longer suffer.
The maturity of our faith
Is action undertaken in love,
The attraction of the Lord Jesus
Emphasising the role of merciful forgiveness.
No one is to be lost to God’s love.
Any darkness surrounding us
Requires the light of love
To illuminate the path forwards.
We are called by the Spirit of Jesus,
To be an active, effective part of this.
Our response to love’s calling
Is our active worship
Offering the all loving friendship of Jesus,
To improve the life of many,
Any the Lord God places us with
To give of His Spirit.
The Spirit at work is love in action.
Yes, blessed be everybody!
And let us offer all ready praise,
With an abundance of thanksgiving,
Having unwrapped love in action
Now let us worship in prayer,
For the countless daily blessings,
As we integrate action with contemplation, Quietly sitting, listening and learning once more.
“It is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all Your works.” (Psalm 73 v 28)
“I am continually with You; You hold me by my right hand. You will guide me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.” (Psalm 73 v 23, 24)
Lord, love is put into action when we use the inborn gifts and talents You bless us with. I thank and praise You for Your Counsel inspiring and guiding our work undertaken in the service of Christ Jesus, so many a blessing ensuing. Let us ever please be praying prior to working, followed by praying with thanksgiving for all God given success which follows. Amen.
