“We love Him because He first loved us.” (1 John 4 v 19) 

Love is God’s perfect provision.

It was out of love for us

The Holy Spirit conceives Christ Jesus.

It was out of love for our Father,

As well as us, the Lord Jesus

Took on humanity, dealing with all our iniquity.

It was love that accepted the †.

It was love, a power stronger than death,

That resurrected Christ Jesus,

To be with us, as our Forever Saviour.

Love enriches all it touches.

Life is radically changed by love. 

Love touches our heart and mind

To strengthen our soul worthily.

Love feeds our spirits, 

The Third Person of the Trinity,

Being the Spirit of love.

Love opens up our final destiny.

This is holy love powerfully at work,

Offering us such real hope,

A hope beyond the scope of mankind.

For it is in Christ Jesus’ friendship

We find true love and are led to worship.

We worship the Lord God, the Almighty,

Sovereign in love and mercy,

Working to a perfect plan for our redemption.

Love gifts us salvation in Christ Jesus, 

The One who lived, died and rose again, 

All for the purpose of true love.  

“Love has been perfected among us in Him, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.” (1 John 4 v 17) 

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts our fear, because fear involves torment. But (s)he who fears, has not been made perfect in love.” (1 John 4 v 18)

Please pray for: 

Non believers to discover the love of Christ Jesus; 

A fresh outpouring of the Spirit of love;   

Believers to strive after holiness by being fully loving;

Godly love to result in our faith’s confidence because love in all its holy power, enables us to be pleasing to our Father, in a similar way to Christ Jesus; 

The Lord God to always reside in us so His love can be perfected in us;  

The knowledge and understanding the Holy Spirit of piety gives to us of how vital love is to our faith’s practices and delivery; 

Our witness of love to “Testify that the Father has sent the Son as Saviour of the world.” (1 John 4 v 14); 

Ours to openly confess by word and deed that Jesus is Lord, the living Word of God to whom we belong; 

Our friendship with the Lord Jesus to be the way in which we believe in the love our Father has for us;  

The world to know that “God is love, and (s)he who abides in love abides in God and God in him (or her)” (1 John 4 v 16) Amen.
