“I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever. I will praise You forever, because You have done it...I will wait on Your name, for it is good.” (Psalm 52 v 8, 9)

The love of our Father as shown,

Is made known in the Lord Jesus.

The greatest goodness in life,

Is developed for us by the Spirit of holiness.

Without Him we do not even begin

To discover let alone develop, our true worth.

That worth given birth in the friendship of Jesus.

God’s faithfulness and mercy are well met in Jesus.

“Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed.” (Psalm 85 v 10)

We are guided, chided as necessary, occasionally, even frequently,

To be blessed, possessed of the life of Jesus.

Every grace is ours to embrace keenly,

Our weaknesses are helped and healed in Jesus.

He comes to make us whole, no longer broken.

His presence is a token of God’s mercy.

We are transformed to be an integral part of the Saviour.

We as family, are His body upon earth.

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.” (Psalm 51 v 10, 11)

“Restore to me the joy of salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit...sinners shall be converted to You.” (Psalm 51 v 12, 13)

Dearest Father, I thank You so much for allowing Your Son to live and die for us. I rejoice in the truth that as Saviour, the Lord Jesus speaks with us to build a relationship.

“ ‘The Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost’,” (Luke 19 v 10) which is each and every one of us, lost to holiness, as we go our own wilful way.

I am truly sorry for my own part in this and ask forgiveness. Thank You that I can plead for mercy because of all the grace and favour the Lord Jesus wins for us at the †.

We can learn to trust in this most precious of friendships, for Jesus comes to give witness to Your merciful love and being the truth we need to hear, He speaks in total truth. Truth cannot lie.

Thus we depend upon our Saviour Brother to rescue us from the errors of our former ways. “Why are you cast down my soul?” (Psalm 42 v 11) There indeed is no need, because hope replaces doubt and fear when

turning to Jesus, heeding the call of the Spirit.

“For I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God.” (Cont) “Remember, O LORD, Your tender mercies and Your loving kindnesses, for they are from of old,” (Psalm 25 v 6) faithful,

steadfast and true, thank You.

“Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions” nor my rebellious ways, my lack of real faith. “According to Your mercy remember me, for Your goodness sake, O LORD.” (Psalm 25 v 7)

That goodness allowed Jesus to die at the † for our sakes, He was punished instead of us.

We see mercy meted out. We feel this according to our own experience. “All the paths of Yours LORD, are mercy and truth....to such as keep Your covenant and testimonies.” (based on Psalm 25 v 10)

Thank You that this is a valuable form of the Lord Jesus’ teaching, His outreach to claim us. “For Your name’s sake, O LORD, pardon my iniquity, for it is great.” (v 11) and this is the starting point to claim

salvation, praying and asking.

We pray because we believe in Your mercy, dearest Father. We believe because this is what the Word of truth, the Lord Jesus tells us, verified by His actions. Many more of us become open to the Spirit of faith, so

as to understand these important details of life.

“Let integrity and uprightness preserve us,” (based on Psalm 25 v 21) all of us who believe in Jesus as Your living and abiding Word of truth, here amongst us by the Holy Spirit, improving life immeasurably.

Let us live fully, our focus being on how we can best serve our Saviour Brother to bring His gospel message to many others, sharing its hope, peace and joy according to the Spirit driven power of holy love.

To live with love is the highest, holiest purpose of life. Forgive us when we spoil this love in any way at all, be the disappointment and distress large or small. May the Spirit so help us to deepen our friendship with

Jesus, we live His way without deviation or compromise.

May we be empowered by the Spirit of love and peace, of hope and joy, of unity of purpose, that being the pursuit of holiness in all things, at all times, in all places, as we hear our Saviour calling us to work in His

name.

So many need to know how the Saviour Lord has carried the shame of our blame to the † of forgiveness, to set us free to become an entirely new creation, according to Your mercy, Lord God. May we help to remove any

blocks or obstacles in the way of anyone’s understanding of how we learn to trust in the Trinity.

Let us take the sword of the Spirit to fight our spiritual battles and succeed by the peace established, the hope which is realistic, the joy beyond temporal happiness and the deep contentment of knowing, loving and serving You, Lord God.

We have been profoundly blessed to belong to Christ Jesus as Saviour, Lord and Master, the truth of holy love which offers us mercy now and finally a destination in heaven. We must travel there open to the Spirit,

our focus being upon Jesus as the offer of new life.

Let there no longer be doubt, nor fear, no despair nor disillusionment as we learn to trust, and thereby identify with our Saviour Brother who shows us what Your compassion means to us holy Father, what this

wins for us. May we ever venerate our Saviour at the †.

We are weak. The Lord Jesus is strong. We are a fallen people. The Lord Jesus, by the Spirit, uplifts us, asking the Spirit to cleanse and heal us of the errors of our ways. Surely that is but one reason our Saviour

Lord teaches us to pray.

Thank You that the Lord Jesus coming to us as the Divine Healer, ministers to us mercifully, offering us a grace which is sufficient for all that matters, as long as we prayerfully respond in faith’s trust and assurance.

May the Spirit keep us serving wholeheartedly.

We must delight to serve You, the One in Three, who are unchanging in love and mercy, constant and true to us who accept the † of our salvation, seeing truth manifest in a Person who is recognised as holy.

May the Holy Spirit ever lead us by this truth coming through the sacred Scriptures, learned biblical teachers, preachers who administer the sacraments for us, and the every day events clearly touched by the power of Your love for us, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

May Your love and mercy be ever upon us, O Lord, as we place all our hope in You, trusting in Your mercy, delighting in Your steadfast loving kindness and faithfulness towards us, that the Lord Jesus’ kingdom on earth be ever extended, offering us a foretaste of heaven. Amen.
