“My heart is overflowing with a good theme; I recite my composition concerning the King, my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.” (Psalm 45 v 1)
Lord, as dancers need to dance,
And as singers have to sing,
Writers need to write!
My joy is to write about You, Your wonderful works,
As a Trinity, the Lord God Almighty,
All powerful, all loving, all merciful, so meaningful for us.
I have to recount the blessings,
Although so numerous, the blessings stand well beyond any count.
“Many, O LORD my God, are Your wonderful works which You have done; and Your thoughts toward us cannot be recounted to You in order; if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.” (Psalm 40 v 5)
I delight in knowing the King of Glory,
My Saviour Brother, my Lord and Master.
I am warmly appreciative to live within the Spirit,
Gifted by the risen, ascended, glorified, Lord Jesus.
I dare to rely upon the Lord God my Father’s mercy,
My identity and destiny entirely at His disposal.
For I know my Father reaches out for me tenderly,
Through the Divine Healer Jesus, the Spirit active with us.
“God searches our hearts and He certainly knows what He causes His Spirit to pray for us as His saints, the people He has set apart for Himself. His Spirit will always pray in and through us according to God’s will.” (Romans 8 v 27 The Truth)
Our future and final destiny is tied up with our identity.
How blessed we are to be adopted as members of God’s family.
Christ Jesus opens heaven’s gates for us,
Bestowing upon us through His own holiness, the heavenly eternity.
His kingdom upon earth is meant to be a foretaste of this.
Bliss is experienced in the happy company of Jesus,
As the Holy Spirit breathes new life into us.
The †of Jesus is the highest blessing we are given.
“...to encourage faith in God’s chosen ones and to bring them knowledge of the truth that leads to
godliness.” (Titus 1 v 1 The Truth)
This Jesus is God with us, in and amongst us,
According to the blessed, best working of the Spirit of holiness.
We are called to surrender our life so Jesus can possess us.
He will fill an empty vessel with His love if we make ready.
Progress is made by calling upon the Spirit of love,
Of hope, of peace, of joy, the full employ of adhering to Jesus.
A life of truth promoting holiness, of goodness manifest,
Is made ours to claim in the name of Christ Jesus.
“Give to the LORD, O families of the peoples,
Give to the LORD glory and strength.
Give to the LORD the glory due His name;
Bring an offering and come into His courts.
Oh, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.” (Psalm 9 v 7, 8, 9)
Lord, according to Your blessing let my mind ponder.
Within Your law of love let my heart rejoice.
Of the new life gifted in the Lord Jesus, by the Spirit,
May my pen be the pen of one ready to write.
Enabled to do so prayerfully as I invite You
As an Almighty Trinity, to come, take hold of me.
When my imagination does daily seek Your salvation,
I find I must speak of this blessing in pen and ink.
“ ‘I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness and you shall know the LORD...And I will have mercy on her who has not obtained mercy; then I will say to those who were not My people, ‘You are My people.’ And they shall say, ‘You are my God’!” (Hosea 2 v 20, 23)
For my entire being does continuously desire You.
My heart and mind, in much of what I think, do and say,
Especially when undergirded by You as I pray,
I find I enter into Your joy, readily, straightforwardly,
For the Lord Jesus is Your life in me, Lord God Almighty.
His Spirit of love accomplishes this, thankfully.
One day I hope to enter Your joy eternally,
But until then, keep me praying, praising and writing.
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not perish but may have eternal life. For God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world,
but so that through Him the world might be saved.” (John 3 v 16, 17 TNJB)
Oh the blessings of grace, of favour, of forgiveness,
Of being called the child of Christ the King,
Not a servant although I do want to serve,
But a cherished child, adopted tenderly, loved mercifully,
For my Saviour Brother calls me ‘Friend’,
Exacting a response from me by the Holy Spirit.
He who brings truth to light and love to the surface.
He who banishes the darkness of our sin, as accomplished at the †of Jesus.
“He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but for the whole world.” (1 John 2 v
2)
“Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments...Whoever keeps His word,
truly the love of God is perfected in him (her). By this we know that we are in Him.” (1 John 1 v 3, 5)
We are taken out of the shadow of death by the highest, greatest blessing, Lord God, of Your beloved Son our
Divine Healer and Saviour, to whom all praise, glory and honour must ever be expressed.
What wonderful works are accomplished by our Lord and Saviour, working through the Holy Spirit, the
Sanctifier always preparing us for the heavenly kingdom, our homeland forever.
“Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life,”
(Jude 1 v 21) and for the true meaning and full purpose of a life to be led in service, as the blessings of Jesus
fill our heart and mind.
This love of Jesus is, thank You, dearest Father, the solid ground of our faith, the sure foundation, our ultimate security and perpetual safety. “For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid,
which is Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 3 v 11)
I praise the Lord Jesus’ willing obedience to be the essential part in Your desire for our salvation, submitting to You fully out of loving obedience and thereby setting a high standard for us to live by. I praise too, the
Holy Spirit’s part in this.
The Holy Spirit filled the life of our Saviour Brother from conception to His resurrection, always working all honour ever be, to accomplish a similar work within us, what a blessing the knowledge and experience of
salvation is. “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” (John 15 v 13 NLT)
The Spirit fills us to shape our life in a likeness to the Lord Jesus’ way of life, enlightening, guiding,
guarding, strengthening and supporting us, thankfully. It is the Spirit of hope who fills us with joy and peace in knowing our sins are released at the †.
We abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit of mercy, all praise ever be for His gentle correction, even whilst wisely admonishing us for our own good. When we err, may the Spirit ever draw us back to our
Saviour Lord.
We delight in how the Spirit of goodness helps us to become virtuous by making our friendship with the Lord Jesus to be our top priority, and so equips us for action against satan. Any will and resolve to do what is
right in Your sight Lord God, is undergirded by the Holy Spirit, thank You.
It is because of the Spirit industriously and continuously at work in those who believe in Christ Jesus who pray, that we “Have reason to glory in Christ Jesus in the things which pertain to You, Lord God.”
(based on Romans 15 v 13)
The blessings of evangelisation are a person totally changed by the power of holy love. With this thought uppermost, may we all strive to proclaim the fame of our Saviour that “ ‘To whom He was not announced
they shall see; and those who have not heard shall understand’.” (Romans 15 v 21) How vital this is!
Father God, Your love is so precious to us, for You are gracious. When You hear us pray You answer us. And when we have gone wrong and spoiled our claim to belong to Jesus, because You are rich in graciousness and ordained the †for our healing, You relent from punishing us.
Thoughts of hell fire, damnation and an eternal separation have no part in the life of a disciple of the Lord Jesus. His love given us by the Spirit of faith, cleanses and heals us in a remarkable way of rescue, thank You.
Father, Your kindness and love have been revealed to us by the Lord Jesus who saved us, not by any blessed efforts which were self righteous, for we are all sinners, but through Your mercy of pure love.
What a blessing that our sinful past is washed away. We are given a new birth through forgiveness, the Lord Jesus making us new through the Holy Spirit poured out abundantly upon us.
So we are made completely acceptable to You, Father God, by Your grace. It is by Your favour of love we have become heirs to Your covenant promise, ratified in the shedding of Jesus’ blood, making us heirs
expectant of the joy of eternity.
To think this none ending time will be spent in Your company, setting us in the midst of a family made holy,
what peace, what hope, what joy has been gifted us, an understanding we can depend upon, praise be. Amen.
