THE WAYS OF GODLINESS

Sue O’Donnell. 10.10.20

“The steps of a good (wo)man are ordered by the LORD, and He delights in his (her) way.” (Psalm 37 v 23)

Come, Holy Spirit of guidance.

Point us in the right direction,

And keep us moving forwards

By strengthening our friendship with Jesus.

Inhabit our heart and mind,

So we find the will to always, but always

Go forwards in the ways of godliness.

Without You we cannot do this,

For with our fallen human nature,

We have no correct inclination.

“According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.” (Psalm 51 v 1, 2)

But the Lord and Master has opened up for us

-All thanks to His †of forgiveness-

Heaven as our destination.

But we cannot arrive there whilst mistaken,

Our time taken by matters worldly,

That takes us in the wrong direction.

It is vitally necessary for us to become holy,

That our Father can delight in us.

Be our insight therefore.

Share all of life with us through Jesus.

Remind us of the essential teaching:

“ ‘Enter into life through the narrow gate. There is a wide gate that leads to a wide road, but that leads to destruction and many go that way’.” (Matthew 7 v 13 The Truth)

“ ‘But the gate to the narrow road that leads to life is small, and only a few find it. Be on the watch for false prophets. They come appearing to be one of My sheep, whereas they are really ferocious wolves. You will be able to discern who they are by the fruit they produce’.” (Matthew 7 v 14 The Truth)

Therefore please pray.
