WORSHIP THROUGH JESUS

Sue O’Donnell 03.12.20

“You worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know; for salvation comes from the

Jews.” (John 4 v 22 TNJB)

Worship the Lord Jesus.

Worship Him for who He is, God’s Son.

Worship Him as the Holy One.

Worship Him come amongst us with godly purpose.

Worship Jesus as the living Word of God.

Worship Him in His likeness to our Father.

Worship Him in love manifest so vividly.

Worship Him for the mercy He shows us.

Worship Jesus as the exact representation of God.

Worship Jesus in the Spirit of holiness.

Worship Him with gratitude for such a gift most precious.

Worship Jesus as Life Changer by the Spirit.

Worship Him as Life Renewer by grace and with favour.

Worship Him as Saviour of the world.

Worship Jesus able to transform our world with our co-operation.

Worship His profound dedication, even to death on a †,

Worship gratefully Jesus’ death gaining eternal life for us.

Worship the Saviour gaining us entry to heaven.

Worship Him as Christ the King over all heaven and earth.

Worship Jesus in His mysterious birth.

Worship Him now in Advent, preparing for Christmas.

Worship Him for the very real difference He makes to our everyday.

Worship Jesus as you pray and prepare to receive Him.

Worship Him to worship our Father of mercy gratefully.

Worship the One who spells out life’s meaning and eternal purpose.

Worship and give all thanks for Jesus’ call to holiness.

Worship and magnify Jesus revealing the Trinity.

Worship as He assists God’s will to be done by us.

Worship Jesus for sending us His Spirit to this end.

Worship Him for the speciality of peace, hope and joy freely gifted us.

Worship how God speaks to the world through Jesus in us.

“I think the purpose and cause of the incarnation was that God might illuminate the world by His wisdom and excite it by love of Himself.” (Peter Abelard)

“No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.” (John 1 v 18)

Please pray in the sure knowledge that with Jesus as Saviour, sending us the life renewing Spirt of our Father’s love and mercy, we can confidently say: “I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved,” (Psalm 16 v 8) not swayed away from the holy purpose the Lord Jesus makes clear to us as Saviour and Redeemer.

Please pray that during this God given season of Advent, a time of preparation we will worship fully in spirit and in truth, just as Jesus will tell us the Father asks of us. (John 4 v 23, 24) Please pray for a fuller

understanding and acknowledgement of Jesus as God’s living Word of truth and the Holy Spirit as our Purifier, the Sanctifier, to be recognised and responded to by everybody. Amen.
