Surely this is the very Spirit

Whom the Lord Jesus sends to us?

The ever wise and most holy

Spirit of life, living in God.

Certainly He must be

A notable, identifiable Person in the Almighty Trinity,

Together with the Lord Jesus,

Making up the sacred Three.

Three in One, a perfect unity,

Beyond the understanding of humanity,

A significant part of the divinity of Jesus,

For the Spirit conceived our Saviour,

Although He was born a human Brother.

The Child of Mary, was too,

God’s holy Son, filled by the Spirit.

Then divesting Himself of His divinity temporarily,

The Spirit is fully active in Jesus’ humanity

Enabling our Father to fully bless us.

As we come under the law of holy love,

And find answers to the way we are to live

To give preference to each other

As the gospel of the Lord Jesus requests of us.

May the Holy Spirit enable us to receive the gospel message of the purposeful life to be led in following the Lord Jesus, growing in a likeness to Him according to the Spirit’s holy power of love.

Thank You dearest Father, that long ago You planned how we would become Your holy people, this being the work of the Spirit who ever leads us to focus on Jesus.

You wanted us to obey You, for this is vital if we are to be holy. You cleansed us through forgiveness when the Lord Jesus sacrificed His life for us.

Thank You for Your Son, Your Spirit and the †. May grace and peace abound throughout the entire world as mankind learns to respond to the life giving Spirit, adhering to Your Son. Amen.
