“The law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.”
(John 1 v 17, 18)
Oh the infinite value of Jesus,
Our discovery of eternity.
Our finding of true love
Offered in all things holy.
Our building of a friendship,
Infinitely more valuable
And this by far,
Than anything else on earth.
Nothing equals, let alone surpasses
The holy friendship of Jesus,
Our Saviour Protector Redeemer.
Salvation is His love’s saving action.
Jesus offers this in His exemplary life.
Jesus gifts this in His sacrificial death.
Here at Jesus’ †, in His suffering,
We receive our Father’s forgiveness His mercy in Jesus.
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.” (Ephesians 1 v 7)
Forgiveness giving in turn according to Jesus
His infinite wisdom and truth,
Seen, heard, felt, put into action.
Jesus spent His life for us,
Dying on the †of our redemption.
Thereby Jesus gifts us
Eternal life, eternal happiness
And eternal holiness,
As Jesus gifts us Himself.
This is the precious gift of the Eucharist,
A memorial of the Paschal Mystery,
Which is of infinite supernatural value to us.
We can live in the holy presence
Of Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
Due to the infinite value of Jesus,
He who died for us whilst we were sinners.
“Love suffers long and is kind...does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil, does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth, bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” (1 Corinthians 13 v 4-7)
“Love never fails...And now abide faith, hope, love these three, but the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13 v 8, 13)
Therefore, please pray.
