We do not work to earn our passage, but because the Lord Jesus has won this for us at the †of forgiveness. We strive for holiness because we are a redeemed people, a new humanity. We have been reformed by holy love to share in this very power.

Praise be for our new beginning in the good purpose of holiness, the best purpose there ever was, is or will be. We share in Christ Jesus’ holy nature, empowered by You, Holy Spirit, Lord. 

Drive us forwards in faith’s outreach, its effective evangelisation. Drive forward the life of the church, blessed by Your faithfulness, which relies upon the charisms You gift. 

You are the holy power, intervening in our daily life, thankfully. The Lord God, our dearest Father, has entered human time and space in You, in the Person of Christ Jesus, our Saviour. 

We are now enabled to recognise our Creator Father, the Saviour Son and You who, as Purifier and Sanctifier, are the Lord, the Giver of Life. 

Be our dynamic power, our energy and full commitment. Make us faithful, all service undertaken in Christ Jesus’ name, by discovering You anew day by day in manifold, always exciting ways.

Please be ever at work with us, enabling us to proclaim in our hearts, and confess with our lips that Jesus Christ is Lord, truly the risen and abiding One, living to the glory of God.

“For it is by believing in our heart, we are made right with God, and it is by confessing with our mouth that we are saved.” (based on Romans 10 v 9) We need You Lord of the Spirit, or else this does not happen. Please be Lord over us just like the Lord Jesus. 

In You, Holy Spirit Lord, through Christ Jesus, our Father’s gift of unending help, builds the confidence of our faith, even to tackling the seemingly impossible. Thank You for the unnumbered times this has helped me. 

May we daily, as we pray, be blessed to receive a fresh heart seeking to serve in love, with love, always for the sake of that love which Christ Jesus makes holy for us, in us, through us.

This will not happen left to our own self serving devices. All our holiness depends upon the experienced Presence of our Saviour and You, Lord of the Spirit, our Sanctifier, well able to transform our life. 

Come, please work with us. Overcome all our hard-heartedness and inclination to do just what suits us, when we want to do this or that. Be our resolve to become holy and shape our efforts.  

Grant us the grace to work hard and pray to become more Christlike, submissive, reverent, wholeheartedly obedient to the Father’s will and wishes. Please conform us to Christ Jesus.

Breathe on us to make our thoughts holy. Act in us to make our efforts and outcome holy. Strengthen us to defend the holy and safeguard us to keep holiness intact. I ask that we live a life of hope for a better, brighter, holier future. 

For we are an Easter people, a prized possession, a holy nation belonging to a King, a people of Christ Jesus’ own possession, that He who risen, has called us out of darkness into the marvellous bright light of holy love. This is God’s grace at work and we offer all thanks. 

All over the world, a perfect offering may be made in holiness, in spirit and in truth, as we become Christ Jesus’ body here on earth, one unity in the power of holy love and mercy.

We are called to show to others by Your industrious, zealous efforts, Holy Spirit, Lord, the sheer goodness of God as evidenced in the perfect life and sacrificial death of our Saviour.

“Once we had no identity as a people,” (based on 1 Peter 2 v 10 NLT) for we were lost to satan, his deception and trickery. But now, all thanks to the victory of the we are “God’s people.” (Cont)  

We have received this mercy through the Lord Jesus, our Saviour and Redeemer who restores us to every grace and favour as Holy Spirit, Lord, You work with our understanding developing our faith prayer by prayer. 

In You, by Christ Jesus, according to our Father’s every mercy, we are blessed threefold! Act in us and attract us towards the good purpose of holiness. Please never give up on us, but gift us a true piety able to love and respect the Trinity and all people.

You clarify for us the eternal wisdom and universal truth which Christ Jesus manifests as the living, abiding Word of God. You counsel us to become Christlike in our words, actions and re-actions.

Teach us please, to pray effectively aligning our will to the Word of Life, our Father’s continuous, gracious offer of true love, His mercy. We must pray from the heart for God’s glory, which is the Lord Jesus, fully alive in us.   

Come close upon us, Holy Spirit, Lord, in all the fullness of Your holy power, our hope, our wish, our aim and goal. Be in us to work the works of the Lord Jesus. Make us self-effacing to gain Him.

The less of us there is, the more room there is for You to work in us, through the Lord Jesus. Make us please, alert and attentive to Your thoughts, ideas, prompts, suggestions. 

Come and remain with us as members of the Lord Jesus’ household. We welcome You. As for me and my family, we will serve the Lord Jesus Christ through heeding You, Holy Spirit, Faith Gifter, Life Enricher.  

Claim us as being God given, God lived for, our worship in word and deed offered through Jesus as the Christ, the King of Glory, the living and abiding Word which offers love to us in all Your holy power. 

Calming, kind, generous, gentle, vigorous Spirit, keep us within Your range of power and influence, that we be inspired in our attempts to serve in the Lord Jesus’ name, spread His fame, make Him our claim of holiness.  

The world has been broken down by Covid 19. Please help us to combat this Pandemic by a fair worldwide distribution of the life saving vaccines. Thank You for the skill of scientists and medics who contribute their expertise to this fight to the end. Please continue to equip them for their work.  

Together with our Saviour Brother, You are Life Saver, Life Giver, uncovering new ways of holy love at work successfully, fruitfully. May this ever be in close accord with Christ Jesus’ teaching and example.  

Our efforts must be ethical to be sustainable. Make us prudent and patient in the face of setbacks. We should never fear failure when the Saviour is at the head of our efforts to serve the community. But we do need You, Spirit Lord, to reform or conform the world to Christ Jesus’ holy teaching.  

When times are hard, we must trust. When doubt or fear creep in, we must pray, asking for more of Your power of holy love to be active and effective, a directive by which we worship practically. 

Be please, ever our faith’s drive, energy, encouragement, determination, zealous effort, at times rewarded by success so we are immediately prompted to pray with a truly grateful heart, a heart of love very evident. 

Whatever task we undertake in the name of the Lord Jesus, please be our Facilitator and Counsellor, a blessed Adviser, able to impassion us with regard to our efforts to serve. Be ever our restoration and renewal if tired or lack lustre. 

Be our security for You impress upon us a new identity as brothers and sisters of Christ Jesus. Together with our Saviour and our Father, You are our hope for mankinds’ future, as You teach us to pray all troubles away.   

Open up please, heaven’s gates before us, travelling homewards as pilgrims always accompanied by our Saviour Brother, the Word of New Life, our Father’s offer of help through merciful forgiveness. Our faith in Christ Jesus is always to be upbuilt. 

Make us His empty vessels waiting, wanting to be filled to overflowing with the power of holy love. Then “Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honour and power and strength belong to our God forever and ever.” (Revelation 7 v 12 NLT)  

For we are incredibly blessed to now know our Father, our Saviour Brother and You Holy Spirit, Sanctifier, the Almighty Trinity, who have redeemed us, rich in mercy, the blood of Christ Jesus having cleansed our sinfulness. 

Holy Spirit Lord, make us consistent in our efforts to serve in all holiness adding virtue and kindness to all charity. May we never neglect what is necessary to cultivate Christian character. Let Christ Jesus be evidently alive in us, that His love thrives as the holy truth which blesses us.   

Thank You for Your very presence and the total difference this makes to our efforts to extend Christ Jesus’ kingdom of peace and prosperity here on earth. Holy Spirit, Lord, make us holy as Christ Jesus is holy. Amen.
