YOUR ALL

Sue O’Donnell 21.11.20

“Lord, we believe in You; increase our faith. We trust in You, strengthen our trust...” (“The Universal Prayer” Pope Clement XI, the singular invocation changed to plural)

Consecrate,

Venerate,

Dedicate

Your life, your all

To God’s call, to

Honour,

Obey and

Glorify

The Trinity.

Be constant,

Committed,

Faithful,

And true to God.

Who is true

To you.

Overcome all

Weaknesses,

Selfishness,

Sinfulness.

Father, Son and Holy Spirit,

Impact Your heart

Of holy love to us,

To worship,

To obey every day.

“Lord, enlighten our understanding, strengthen our will, purify our heart and make us holy...”

(“The Universal Prayer,” the singular invocation changed to plural)

“Let our conscience be clear, our conduct without fault, our speech blameless, our life well ordered.” (“The Universal Prayer” the singular invocation changed to plural)

Lord, often our intentions are good, honourable and holy. But our human weakness causes us to forget to pray and focus on our Saviour Jesus, whilst calling on the Holy Spirit.

I am sorry that I make this mistake all too often and too readily. Asking for mercy as established at the †of the Lord Jesus, I have to rely upon Your forgiveness, dearest Father.

But it is no good saying I am sorry without the resolve to do better in the future. May the Holy Spirit help all of us with this commitment to persevere.

Let us ever call upon the Spirit to grant us strength and guidance as we seek to share in and respond to the blessings of holiness which the Lord Jesus offers us.

Dearest Father, in turning to You, by living through the Lord Jesus, Him alive in us in all holy love, according to the power of the Holy Spirit, may we be enabled to consecrate, venerate and dedicate each day to

You without failing.

“Guide us by our wisdom, correct us with Your justice, comfort us with Your mercy, protect us with Your power.” (“The Universal Prayer”, the singular invocation changed to plural) We ask to respond to Your call to become holy.

May we be so committed to the way of life of love which the Lord Jesus shows to us, we will no longer admit into our thoughts, attractions, decisions, actions, anything which is contrary to Your will, commanding us to pray without ceasing so as to live wisely.

Let our commitment to You be there even when severely tried and tested. May Your Spirit animate our efforts to bring about an ever godly, worthy, honourable outcome which will delight You.

May we earnestly strive after holiness, so as to overcome all weaknesses, selfishness and sinfulness, as You impact Your heart of love so graciously to us.

For You as a Trinity are supreme in authority. “For the Lord is GOD who breaks battle lines” (Judith 16 v 2 TNJB) set up by the enemy to distract, waylay, divert and destroy us. But we will have none of this!

Judge us Lord God, not according to our weaknesses but according to the integrity we are profoundly blessed to make progress in when we prayerfully focus on the example of the Lord Jesus.

You test the heart and mind. Please do not find us wanting when the Lord Jesus gifts us Himself, so we know and enjoy uprightness, our life becoming His good work in progress.

Let us ever praise and thank You for this. Our healing is in knowing, following and honouring the Lord Jesus, making Him the King of Glory day by day.

Thank You for showing us how to worship, day by day spent in loving service, honouring the Lord Jesus, led by the Spirit, delighting You, as we seek to do Your will as fully as we can.

I ask for the gift of courage to combat satan, perseverance sand determination to hold him at bay, living for, to and through the Lord Jesus to the utmost extent.

May the Spirit develop our resolve as He increases our willpower to serve, wherever, whenever we are asked, committed to doing so with a heartfelt zeal, listening and learning as we pray.

May we never, ever take the blessings of faith for granted. Instead, let us offer all thanks and praise to You, Father God, by living sharing the holiness of Jesus, as animated by the Spirit.

For You impart Your heart of love to us, that we worship in the reverence of fullest obedience day by day, living in the way Jesus shows us and the Spirit shapes for us.

Thank You for making this possible through Your amazing grace of all powerful love and life changing mercy, forgiving all our sinfulness. Please may we ever give our all to honour, obey and glorify You as the holy Trinity, a God of love and mercy. Amen.
