“...looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith...” (Hebrews 12 v 2)

Lord Jesus, ever be our worship.

Show us please how to pray through You,

That by the blessings of Your Spirit,

We learn to obey as You do.

Make us a people of praise.

Teach us to amaze at God’s goodness.

You ever reveal this to us in the Eucharist.

Be our highest holiness and fullest happiness.

I ask this for You are our Saviour,

Willing and able to save us from all sinfulness.

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” (Romans 8 v 21)

Come, possess us entirely.

Making society prosperous in Your presence,

For You offer us a share in Your life of love,

A love which is all goodness, coming from above.

Let us walk through each day with You,

Pray with You, in You, through You.

Let us evidently be Your family,

A chosen generation able to witness and worship.

May we live through You, Lord Jesus,

That we be inspired by Your Spirit of love.

Grant us here fullness of life in You, our witness and worship.

“By Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.” (Hebrews 13 v 15)

Designated as the Light of the world,

And the Bread of Life able to satisfy us,

Fill us by Your loving purpose of self-giving,

Our living in Jesus against the hosts of darkness.

Make us one in You, by the Spirit,

From every nation under heaven,

Designated as Your own special people,

A family very richly blessed.

Blessed because we possess You, Lord Jesus,

As You possess us in the Holy Eucharist.

May we understand and acknowledge this,

Thereby make us expectant and hopeful in our confidence.

“Do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.” (Hebrews 13 v 16)

We are a people with a special permission.

Lord Jesus, You are our permission to claim this.

Let us then ever, dear Saviour,

Claim, name Your blessings, throughout the earth.

For You are to us our Lord and Master,

The Messiah we call ‘Jesus, Saviour’,

As You are able to save us from all sinfulness.

It is in You, through You, holy love forms once more,

For all praise and thanks be to our Father,

And certainly let there be glory, as we see You.

“Christ as a Son over Your own house, whose house we are, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.” (Hebrews 3 v 6)

“For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end.” (Hebrews 3 v 14)
