“Our God is a devouring fire.” Hebrews 12 v 29 

It is by the unity within the Holy Trinity,

We are enabled to become fully holy,

All powerful in sovereign majesty.

Of a truly loving purpose planned for us,

The Lord God, the Almighty, supreme in holiness,  

Determines that we should become holy too.

Our Father turns sinners into saints,

By means of His Son’s life, death and resurrection.

On the †of forgiveness granting salvation,

By means of the sin obliterating Spirit,

The love of the Trinity is this consuming fire.

A fire burning ever brighter and brighter,

To not only cleanse us of all sinfulness,

But to warm our hearts to receive of Christ Jesus,

The Redeemer acting out of love all for the sake of love.

The Holy Spirit given to us is the Spirit of love. 

“Then the way you live will always honour and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit.” (Colossians 1 v 10 NLT)

“All the while you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.” (Colossians 1 v 10 NLT)  

In gratitude, let us pray for: 

Holy love is the greatest power on earth; 

We experience this in the forgiveness Christ Jesus wins for us at the †; 

We grow to know about salvation when we invite the Holy Spirit into our life;  

Easter is a season overflowing with joy in Christ Jesus, because the Holy Spirit has been released to us;  

The Spirit of love is fruitful in all He undertakes; 

We can become a part of the Holy Spirit’s loving ministry by praying, asking to receive of His power;  

We grow then to know the Lord Jesus more fully, this happening daily so we can be filled to overflowing with holy love’s power, enabling us to give witness by all we say and do;

Christ Jesus is alive in us, praise be; 

We are recipients of holy mercy; 

The hope of heaven, the gift of eternity is the promise fulfilled by Christ Jesus;  

True joy and fullest happiness are found in this incontrovertible truth; 

The window into holy truth is opened for us by the Lord Jesus’ life, death and resurrection as His holiness is offered by the Spirit to us; 

We have a forever Saviour; 

Accepting the risen Christ as our personal Saviour, enables us to live our life in faith’s hope, peace and joyful experience; 

Christ Jesus speaks into our everyday life; 

The Holy Spirit works tirelessly to shape our new life in the risen Christ; 

Christ Jesus is the Bread of Heaven, the Holy Eucharist offering us the spiritual food necessary for eternal life; 

Prayer refreshes and reinvigorates our faith in our friendship with Christ Jesus, by means of the Holy Spirit;  

We can love and serve anybody, everybody, in the power of holy love as offered us by the risen Christ Jesus;   

Doubts are overturned, fear dispersed, worry is displaced as Christ Jesus blesses us; 

In our weakness we find our Saviour’s strength;  

The Holy Spirit of love of the Father and the Son affirms the goodness our Father develops within us; 

“Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to His name, not forgetting to do good and to share with those in need. For these are the sacrifices that please God.” (based on Hebrews 13 v 15, 56 NLT)   

As the Lord God, by the Holy Spirit, “Produces in us through the power of Jesus Christ, ever good thing that is pleasing to Him, all glory be forever and ever.” (based on v 21) Amen.
