Lord, let us pray as if everything depends upon You as a Trinity of love and mercy, as shown us by the Lord Jesus and made real to us by the Holy Spirit, who masterminds our prayer offered in Jesus’ exalted name.
Then let us work in Jesus’ name, for everything does depend upon us expressing our belief in Him as Your wisdom and truth, the holy Prophet, Priest and King of heaven and earth, the One in whom we are gifted a new birth, sharing in and delighting in His holiness. So You favour us, all praise and thanks ever be.
When I consider all that the Lord Jesus means to us, think of all He has accomplished for us, then I feel confidently secure in love’s mercy. “He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness, for His name’s sake,” (Psalm 23 v 3) to be true to the name of the Trinity of love.
