“The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him” (Psalm 28 v 7)

“We can only understand that the entire universe was created by God’s command as a matter of faith. For it is by faith that which is naturally invisible becomes visible.” (Hebrews 11 v 3 The Truth)
“He prays best who loves best,
All things great and small.
For the dear God who loves us,
He made them all.” Samuel Taylor Coleridge
“Then God saw everything that He had made. And indeed it was very good,” (Genesis 1 v 33) and we see this is so. Please grant us the eyes of faith to see Your power at work, to appreciate Your sovereign authority and to glory in Your love and mercy as a holy Trinity.
Please gift us Your grace that we spend our life serving You to the very best of our ability. Let this be our preparation for sharing in the joys of heaven.
We thank You for Your kingdom upon this earth, as set up by the Lord Jesus and maintained by Your Spirit that we know Your hope, peace and joy.
Sin spoils everything. Thankfully, mercifully, the Lord Jesus came to separate us from all that is unworthy, destructive and distresses You. May the Spirt help us to be holy, to honour all You do for us.
Dearest Father, all Your work is truly life giving. Thank You so very much. We could not hope to gain holiness if it were not for the life and death of Your Son, our Saviour.
As the Lord Jesus’ friendship is strengthened when we pray, may we trust in this. He calls us to obedience. May the Holy Spirit help with such a reverence.
The Lord Jesus shows us that holy love requires self-sacrifice, an effort to be made, displayed openly, shared, prayed about. May we be dutiful.
I ask that the virtues of trust, obedience, self-sacrifice and effort are all developed by our time spent with the Lord Jesus, the Master over us, being attended to by the Spirit.
The presence of the Holy Spirit is such a profound blessing, thank You. This is a gift raising our hope heavenwards, affirming our delight in Jesus’ holy friendship.
Let us place all aspects of life, all our efforts made towards living correctly, be accomplished as the Holy Spirit directs our attention to Jesus, Your living Word of wisdom and truth.
May the Spirit help us to seek Him, speak with Him to live through Him, delighting in everything reliable, genuine, praiseworthy, because it is the result of the Trinity at work.
Our progress in holiness can only be made in yearning, praying and practising to become more like our Brother, perfectly holy, supportive of others, understanding their needs.
I ask that the Spirit keeps us striving, believing, hoping, praying and praising, especially offering all thanksgiving that Jesus is our saving help, Your rescue of us from all sinfulness, Lord God.
Nothing is more glorious, more important, more meaningful to us than placing our life in the hands of the Divine Healer, by opening up to Your Spirit of faith. Both the Son and the Spirit are our rejoicing in You.
Thank You for all Your wondrous works. “Many, O LORD my God, are Your wonderful works which You have done and Your thoughts toward us cannot be recounted in order; if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.” (Psalm 40 v 5) Amen.
