“He is now revealing the secrets that have been hidden during previous times and generations; but these truths are revealed only to His saints, to those who belong to Him.”
Colossians 1 v 26 The Truth
Holy Trinity
Unity,
Holy Three
Our identity,
Lord Almighty
Our prayer,
Share Your life
With us,
Your family.
“The complete Trinity dwells in us.”
R.P. Philippan
Father of mercy,
Son of our identity,
Holy Spirit of sanctity,
Be our power
In faith
Through prayer.
Be our forgiveness
Through the †.
“For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.”
Psalm 86 v 5
Be our fresh start.
A renewed heart
Of faith with love.
Holy Trinity
Love’s harmony,
Be our prayer.
Be the reality
Of our life
And our love.
“In the communion of grace with the Trinity, man’s ‘Living area’ is broadened and raised up to the supernatural level of divine life.”
Saint John Paul II
Be the mercy
We need.
You are our Creator,
Re-Creator,
Redeemer Saviour,
The Life Giver,
The Sanctifier,
Inseparable in power
And all authority.
“I will hear what God the LORD will speak, for He will speak peace to His people and to His saints; but let them not turn back to folly. Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, that glory may dwell in our land.”
Psalm 85 v 8, 9
As our Maker
Surrounds us
By a blessed sense
Of Your incredible presence.
May we glimpse
The true glory
Of Your eternity.
“Man lives in God and by God.”
Saint John Paul II
The Father of mercy,
The King of glory,
The Spirit of beauty,
The Trinity
Ever our sanctity.
May we as family
Live to give You
Ever greater glory.
“Unite my heart to fear Your name. I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify Your name forevermore.”
Psalm 86 v 12
Glory through the prayer
We share with You.
We ask this
That You make us
Holy every day.
Come, Lord Jesus
Son of our Father.
Come, Holy Spirit,
Love of our Father, Teacher.
“For the word of the LORD is right, and all His work is done in truth. He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.”
Psalm 33 v 4, 5
Be for each of us
Claiming the †
In all its victory,
Be our sanctity.
Lead us safely,
Daily aware
Of Your holy presence.
Increase our awareness
Especially of this :
“He has chosen to reveal to all who are His among the nations, the glorious riches that are centred in this mystery that Christ has now come to live in you, and in Him alone is your hope of glory, now and for all eternity.”
Colossians 1 v 27 The Truth
“This is why we speak only of Christ, encouraging, correcting and teaching everyone with the wisdom He has given us, so that we can present everyone perfect in Christ because they believe the gospel we proclaim. What a wonderful prospect!”
Colossians 1 v 28 The Truth
Come, Holy Spirit of life, “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” (Romans 8 v 2) Come, Holy Spirit of God, “You are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you.” (v 9) Come, Holy Spirit of Christ, “If Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.” (v 10 v 15) Come, Spirit of adoption, “...by whom we cry out, ‘Abba, Father’.” Come, Holy Spirit of prayer, be the thoughts we seek, the words we speak, the actions we undertake.
Holy Spirit, Lord, be the power of our life through faith shaped by prayer, prayer without any fear or worry, because the burden of all of this the Lord Jesus lifted up on to the †. “Father in heaven,
when the thought of You wakes in our hearts, let it not wake like a
frightened bird that flies about in dismay, but like a child waking from its sleep with a heavenly smile.” (Sören Kierkeg-aard 1813-1855) I ask this as we as Your family, learn to rely upon the blessed Spirit of the Lord Jesus, Your own Spirit, holy Father. Keep us safe in the love, the life, the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus, Lord of our righteousness.
Let us ever offer praise through prayer, all thanksgiving for the Lord of life whose death offers us forgiveness and a new start. “By Your divine will, Lord God, we have already been made holy through the one sacrifice of Jesus Christ’s own body. Now we are set apart for You, made totally acceptable and pleasing to You.” (based on Hebrews 10 v 10 The Truth) What hope this brings. Thank You.
“Understand what this one sacrifice has achieved: those who are being made holy, set apart for God, He has made perfect already!” (v 14)
What hope, what peace, what joy we find here. Dearest Father, we come closer to You through the Lord Jesus. “ ‘I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me’.” (John 14 v 6) May the Holy Spirit enable this to happen through prayer, our prayer of asking, petitioning, supplicating, interceding. May we as family, adopted brothers and sisters “(Hebrews 10 v 19) ...having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,” ever stand firm in faith, “...by a new and living way which He consecrated for us...” (v20) How marvellous this is!
Through prayer “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” (Hebrews 10 v 23) “O Lord Jesus Christ, who art the way, the truth and the life, we pray Thee not to suffer us to stray from Thee, who art the way, nor to distrust Thee, who art the truth, nor to rest on any other than Thee, who art the life. Teach us to believe, what to do and where in to take our rest.” (Erasmus 1467-1536) And teach us please, how to bless each person of the Trinity. “Praise and eternal glory to God the Father and the Son and the Holy Paraclete through all ages.” (Traditional Antiphon of the Catholic Church)
Father, Son and Holy Spirit, ever perfect in love’s unity, You are the most blessed, worthy and undivided Trinity. Through prayer may we ever praise and thank You separately as well as collectively. May we say with heartfelt rejoicing, ‘Glory and praise ever, ever be to You, all holy and mighty Trinity’. Thank You Father, Son and Holy Spirit, for Your love, Your mercy, Your reaching out to us through the †of new life, where we find forgiveness.
We glorify and praise You for helping us to pray. “The Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us.... He who searches the heart knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.” (Romans 8 v 26, 27) Please keep us asking for an increase of faith through prayer.
Dearest Father, Abba, please keep sending Your Spirit into our hearts that through prayer we are made heirs in Christ, that we reflect His glory, that we become partakers of the heavenly kingdom. As Your Son is the truth, may the Lord Jesus send to each of us the Spirit as promised, the Advocate, the Counsellor, the Strengthener in all faith’s practices. May the Holy Spirit open the fruits of charity, modesty and generosity within us, as well as the one fruit of “Love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.” (Galatians 5 v 22, 23) May the Holy Spirit keep us consistent in our efforts through prayer.
Father, Son and Holy Spirit, You ask us to be a part of Your amazing, most wonderful, utterly life changing exchange of love. Please fill us all with an ardent desire to share in the perfect unity of Your love. Through prayer fill us with Your steadfast loving kindness, Your forgiveness, Your sense of justice and peace, mercy and help for healing whatever our wounds.
May we ever seek to live with a more perfect likeness to You, O most blessed Trinity of love.
May we see that we are created in Your likeness and image and thereby have an unfailing respect for all persons from natural conception to natural death, without our interference.
May Your undying love stir all human hearts and minds, including those who do not as yet know You, that we may find all hope, peace and joy in our daily life for we are made conscious through prayer, of becoming united in Your love, O holy Trinity.
Let us be ever vigilant in our faith’s efforts, constant in prayer, entirely under Your mighty authority, able to listen to You, learn from You, adhere to Your principles, live by Your precepts. I ask these things dearest Father, with all praise and thanksgiving for Your Son, the Word of truth and Your Spirit, the Spirit of holiness who always inspires and helps us. May we ever profess our faith, all to Your glory, ever adoring Your all powerful unity which destines us to share with You fully. Amen.
