“We have placed our hope in the living God, who is the Saviour of all mankind, but especially of those who believe in Him.” (1 Timothy 4 v 9, 10 The Truth)
Faith in Christ Jesus is life to us
When we know Him as Saviour,
As God’s Word of life and fulfilled promise.
Our Father’s promise to save us from damnation,
The final and total separation of mankind
And the Trinity of love and mercy.
Believers in Christ Jesus
Find the source of life eternal.
The face of the Lord God is hidden
Set apart in light inaccessible.
But the Lord God has taken on a human face,
One we can recognise and embrace lovingly.
Our Father’s personality is manifest in Christ Jesus,
The path of justice, of knowledge, of understanding,
Have been revealed to us in Christ Jesus!
How? By the arrival of the Holy Spirit,
Faith’s Illuminator, our inspiration to believe and receive.
Jesus is revealed to us by the Holy Spirit.
He comes to us with the main purpose of revelation and sanctification.
“Those who truly want to please God by being led by His Spirit, make Him their focus. Sinful thinking leads to spiritual death; but to allow your life to be under the control of the Holy Spirit will result in sharing in God’s life and knowing His peace.” (Romans 8 v 5, 6 The Truth)
Thereby our dedication to Jesus as Saviour,
Allows us to believe in our Father of mercy,
To hold Him in awe, as we adore Him.
No longer do we fear to draw near to God,
For the Lord Jesus makes His mercy clear to us,
As long as we pray and call on the Holy Spirit,
Who enlightens us as to the wonder of creation, its supreme beauty,
And our place and position within this sphere,
As becoming a holy nation, profoundly blessed by Christ Jesus.
It is through Jesus, by the Holy Spirit, we worship.
In obedience, in reverence, in awe, delighting to pray.
For love and forgiveness have been gifted us in Christ Jesus. Faith is an exciting journey of discovery,
An adventure where the Lord Jesus accompanies us
By means of the Spirit of prayer, by whom
We learn to share hope, peace and joy.
Because Jesus is Lord, our forever Saviour, the living hope.
In Him, being that good works in progress,
We are made children ever seeking holy perfection.
“Those who live in Christ Jesus have been set free from all condemnation. Through Christ Jesus a different principle now lives in me, a new law: the Spirit of life has set me free from the law of sin and death.” (Romans 8 v 2 The Truth)
“Under the law I could not do what God wanted because of my weak, sinful nature. God dealt with this by sending His own Son to become man, to live among sinners and then to make His life a sinless offering to God on their behalf.” (Romans 8 v 3 The Truth)
Dearest Father, faith is the knowledge of this truth, gained not only by praying, studying the sacred Scriptures and celebrating sacramentally, but experientially in our everyday way of life.
To know the Lord Jesus is here amongst us, living within us by means of holy communion, is to come to understand the principle of justification.
We have been cleansed of our sinfulness by the blood the Lord Jesus shed for us, and He adopts us as His Brothers and sisters to make us His own good works in progress. By this, by being made holy before You, Father God, You accept us because we belong to the Lord Jesus and have been blessed to receive of the Holy Spirit.
This is Your redemption plan and we rejoice! We live by that faith which makes us confident in the hope we have in our Saviour Brother, and that we shall see what is promised.
We do not yet see the full fullness of life which the Lord Jesus has promised us, but we have a foretaste of heavenly joy when we thrive by His friendship.
We cannot see Him physically, not yet, but because of how He changes our life according to the working of the Holy Spirit, we develop a tremendous and most glorious joy in knowing Jesus.
Our faith gifts us the sure knowledge of You, Father God, because we met Your likeness of character in Your Son. Your love is manifest to us in the Lord Jesus.
Jesus is Your loving plan to rescue mankind from satan’s clutches. That is why You work all things together for good for those who believe in our Saviour. Thank You so much.
May we always be attentive to the Lord Jesus’ teachings by being alert to the Holy Spirit’s promptings, His correction and His good guidance.
It is by living in the Lord Jesus, whilst being alert to the Holy Spirit, we can work and pray to reach that perfection which is required to enter heaven.
May the loving, wise care of the Holy Trinity guide us and safeguard us daily, helping us to overcome conscientiously all our faults and failings, striving sincerely and wholeheartedly.
Father of love, so merciful towards us, keep us in Your presence as we endeavour to serve lovingly in the Lord Jesus’ name. For surely, wherever there is love, You are there.
Thank You that Your Son and Spirit enable us to know we belong to You. It is because we know the Lord Jesus as our Saviour, the living hope of us reaching heaven, we trust in You.
Your plan for our salvation is merciful. We see the Lord Jesus has risen from the dead and we then live with hope for ourselves, a hope which is undergirded by faith.
We can look to the future in faith, with hope, because of a personal friendship with the Lord Jesus, and the impact of the Holy Spirit on our daily life, leading us to You.
“O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth!” (Psalm 8 v 9) We are privileged to call You ‘Abba’, which translates as ‘Daddy’, a term showing such a close love for us.
And all of this is because of our faith in the Lord Jesus, the One who shows us how to live in truth, how to accept grace, how to find peace and joy.
Thank You for the gift of faith. This means a life led in warm friendship with Jesus, alert to the sanctifying, glorifying Holy Spirit.
All Your precepts and commands are so good for us, enabling us to live a life which honours You, delights You, and is thereby a joy to us.
“You have made known to us the path of life” (Psalm 16 v 11) which is in living to offer love’s service in the name of Jesus, offering praise practically. This results in eternal blessings the fullest joy of Your heavenly company.
“It is good to give thanks to You, Lord God and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; to declare Your loving kindness” to us in the Lord Jesus, “And Your faithfulness by sending us the faith enhancing Spirit.” (Psalm 92 v 1, 2)
“For You, LORD, have made me glad through Your work” (v 4) of salvation, our redemption secured by the Lord Jesus, and our sanctification by the Holy Spirit.
Mankind is richly blessed by the Holy Trinity and I offer all thanks and praise. “O LORD, how great are Your works!” (v 5) forever let us honour You.
Blessed by joy, by hope, with peace, may my life be a witness to this as I draw closer and closer to You, dearest Father, rejoicing in Jesus and delighted to call on the Holy Spirit.
Thank You for life. Thank You for faith and for the difference to every day which this makes. May all who delight in Jesus, never lose sight of Him. Amen.
