“ ‘...by trusting in Me you will be able to maintain your peace’.” (John 16 v 33 The Truth)
What is life offering you today?
Whatever it is seize the best
For today will not come your way again.
Then leave the rest to God,
To His good providence and loving protection.
Everyday, if we pray and connect with God,
Has some gift to yield out of His goodness.
It may be a shield from danger.
It could be something other,
Maybe a new delight to discover.
Have you ever thought reflectively,
How many little things add up to make you happy?
The unexpected smile, extra time given awhile,
The kindness of family, friends or neighbours,
The surprise we uncover,
Delight in the fresh air so much beauty to share.
Sunny days and a peaceful night,
Care and worry put to flight.
The joy of prayer, a time blessed beyond compare,
Our faith’s increase of trusting in God’s release of peace, In the release of fear and anxiety.
“For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.” (Psalm 100 v 5)
Development is Holy Spirit given in faith’s security.
Real serenity found in living through Christ Jesus,
That whatever we do which is holy,
Will consecrate us in sanctity resulting in the highest happiness,
Even the shadow of sorrow will eventually depart,
When we pray from an ardent heart of dependency. Tranquillity of mind, our heart’s content we find,
Is always but always connected with us turning to Jesus,
For He reveals life’s purpose to us,
According to the will, wishes and plan for men,
Which our Father holds in His mind and heart.
When we pray at the start of the day,
We can take and make the utmost best of the test, Making something good out of the experience of today.
We can decide whether our glass is half empty or half full, When we look at life through the lens of love given us.
The love of Christ Jesus within us, placed there by the Holy Spirit,
Helps us, motivates us to face the day courageously.
With confidence that God is with us, we meet uncertainty,
Whatever is to be, knowing it is for the best.
The best might not be obvious to us immediately,
But as we continue to pray, seeking the friendship of Jesus,
Then the best is to be unfolding day by blessed day.
“ O GOD, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praises, even with my glory.” (Psalm 108 v 1)
We pray and all will be well eventually.
What is life offering you today?
Pray and ask our Father to show you this.
He will if you call on the Holy Spirit of love, of faith, of prayers,
So you learn to compare all of your day,
As it is when lived through the Lord Jesus,
With how it was before you sought to find Him.
We can win through anything, everything however challenging,
With the Spirit of Jesus animating us, directing our attention.
And never forget to mention in all praise with thanksgiving,
An acclamation as to the difference knowing Jesus makes to us.
We have become a holy family with no room nor reason for misery.
Why? The answer is plain to see and makes us happy:
“I discovered that I am able to do everything”
-Everything that is that the Lord God asks of us-
Doing this “Through trusting in the One who always give me strength,” (Philippians 4 v 13 The Truth)
Which means life is packed full of godly purpose.
Our life of holiness and happiness is wrapped up in Jesus.
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be imparted to our spirit.
Amen! It shall be so!” (v 23)
Daily God’s glory will shine beautifully,
When we actively seize the best God does offer us.
“Always rejoice in the Lord! I repeat: Rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be obvious to others. The Lord is near; so there is no need to be anxious about anything.” (Philippians 4 v 4, 5 The Truth)
“Instead pray about everything, following your petition with thanksgiving whenever you ask anything of God!” (Philippians 4 v 5)
Dearest Father, thank You for the quality given to life when we live in the kingdom of love the Lord Jesus came to set up for us, a place of kindly respect and general assistance.
Thank You too, for the peace which the world does not give us, but we gain by calling on the Spirit of Jesus, Your Spirit, to teach us to live reverently.
For it is when we live according to Your principles and precepts, we find life flows smoothly without interruption or diversion or distraction caused by satan.
Thank You that the Holy Spirit enables us to make the best of daily life whatever our circumstances, by keeping our heart and mind at one with our Saviour Brother.
Jesus is everything to us! He, by the Spirit, enables us to experience a realistic hope of heaven, the peace of reconciliation when relationships are broken, and the highest joy of living with a godly purpose.
How enriched we are to know Jesus, to make Him the Prince of Peace and King of Glory in charge of all aspects of our daily life. By the Spirit, He lifts us above all manner of strife both actually and emotionally.
He, again by the Spirit fills our head with notions of a committed, godly service undertaken to His fame. In this we battle to overcome all evil.
May we succeed by concentrating upon everything true, worthy, noble, one hundred percent correct, for such is the kingdom of heaven’s principles.
Dearest Father, may we take from the life You so lovingly give to us, whatever is right in Your sight, being pleasing to You, of excellence and worthy of praise.
May we put into practice all that the Lord Jesus has taught us, and the Holy Spirit underlines and insists upon.
Oh how different life is according to whether or not we accept Jesus as Saviour, Lord and Master, the One who helps us to pursue excellency.
May we never take our eyes off the Lord Jesus and His example, as our highest, most notable focus, knowing all will be well one day.
Animated by the Holy Spirit, may we be a faithful witness to all our Brother has said and accomplished, knowing this is always for the best for anybody and everybody.
Perhaps when life is tough, as it often is, we could recall Jesus’ words to us where He assures us of His victory. “ ‘In this world you are bound to experience trouble. But you do not need to be downhearted about this, for I have already defeated the world’.” (John 16 v 33 The Truth)
We are the brothers and sisters of a Conqueror over all that is evil and we can rejoice! Father God, thank You for making life an exciting adventure of discovery when we live to give ourselves to You, through Jesus, by the Spirit.
For what we learn is that we live through love, by love, always for the sake of love, and it is love in all its holy power which is the fullest enrichment of life, just as the Lord Jesus said He came to give us.
Many and varied are the countless blessings of faith, thank You. We rejoice in this gift of life to be lived in trusting dependency on the Almighty Trinity. Amen.
