“The head that once was crowned with thorns
Is crowned with glory now:
A royal diadem adorns
The mighty victor’s brow.”
T. Kelly
Glory be,
Dear Christ Jesus,
Ever, ever with us.
The King of Glory
We esteem Your †,
We bow before Your venerable authority.
“I am like a vine putting out graceful shoots, My blossoms bear the fruits of glory and wealth.”
Ecclesiasticus 24 v 17
As mighty Lord, You are undoubtedly
Co-equal with our Father,
And the Holy Spirit,
We know You as God’s Word,
Your every blessing upon us
Again because of the †,
The †of forgiveness.
“Glory to Thee, Father. Amen!
Glory to Thee, Word: Glory to Thee, Grace. Amen!
Glory to Thee, Spirit: Glory to Thee, Holy One:
Glory to Thy Glory. Amen!
We praise Thee, O Father: we give thanks to Thee,
O Light, wherein dwelleth no darkness. Amen!”
Acts of John
The † whereby You come to us
As our personal Redeemer,
The Saviour of the world.
Holy love unfurled,
All joy is made ours
In sharing Your righteousness.
“Make a joyful shout to God all the earth! Sing out the honour of His name; make His praise glorious. Say to God, ‘How awesome are Your works! Through the greatness of Your power Your enemies shall submit themselves to You. All the earth shall worship You and sing praises to You; they shall sing praises to Your name.”
Psalm 66 v 1-4
We adore Your holiness,
Dear Christ Jesus,
Ever our Victor in love.
Satan’s defeat meted out,
Once, for all,
As we call on Your name.
The highest name,
Name above every name,
Name of supreme fame.
“The highest place that heaven affords
Is His, is His by right,
The King of kings and Lord of lords,
And heaven’s eternal Light.”
T Kelly
“The joy of all who dwell above,
The joy of all below,
To whom He manifests His love,
And grants His name to know.”
T Kelly
Dear Jesus, glory to Thee. Glory to Thee, Holy Three, through us brought alive in faith by Your working Holy Spirit, showing us the love of Jesus, that we live to honour You, dearest Father.
Glory be for the mercy of the †, for Jesus willingly, lovingly accepting the punishment due to us, accepting our agony to set us free from satan’s calamity.
Glory be in the new life given us by means of cleansing, healing forgiveness. We are renewed in faith’s trust and desire to seek goodness.
Glory be for all holiness: “Whatever things are true...noble...just... pure...lovely...of good report..., if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy and all that is of beauty.” (Philippians 4 v 8)
Glory be for dynamic devotion which pursues the holy devotion to intimacy with You Father, through Your Son, by Your Spirit ever revealing more of Jesus to us.
Glory be for every godly purpose of service and witness in Jesus’ highest, holiest, wondrous name, the name exalted above all names of fame.
Glory be for the focus of Jesus when His love for us, in us, through us, becomes our keenest focus, our driving desire, daily motivation.
Glory be that Jesus, by the Spirit, directs us to become a disciple after Your own heart of love for us, Abba. This is our spiritual maturity and I praise You.
Glory be in reality. “Not that I have already attained or am already perfected, but I press on that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.” (Philippians 3 v 12)
Glory be for the blessed work of the Spirit enabling, strengthening, supporting, equipping our faith’s efforts towards holiness, enabling us to “Press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (v 14)
Glory be in the Spirit’s work to cleanse and correct our will, mind, heart, conscience, that useless works are put behind us. We are then enabled to aim for God’s goal of worship and service in Jesus.
Glory be to the strengthening, faith emboldening Spirit of love, the Counsellor by whom we meet with the Lord Jesus as Saviour, Master, Lord, Word to be ever listened to and acted upon.
Glory be to the development of fruitfulness, Jesus the vine, us grafted on that we strive after living by the Spirit that we do “...not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”
(Galatians 5 v 16)
Glory be as we see godly virtue at work spreading the gospel message by “The fruit of the Spirit... love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self- control.” (v 22,23)
Glory be for the reality that all this happens as we commit to becoming prayerful disciples of the Lord Jesus, dear Jesus the Master.
Glory be to God as a Trinity of love and supreme mercy. “Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, the God who is our salvation. God is to us a God of deliverance.” (Psalm 68 v 19, 20)
Glory be now into eternity. “You make the outgoings of the morning and evening rejoice,” (Psalm 65 v 8) for we rejoice in You providence, Your protection, Your salvation.
“Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer,” (Psalm 66 v 20) offered through Jesus, Spirit graced, “Nor His mercy from me,” (Cont.) for Jesus is my dependency totally.
Yes, dear Jesus, “Christ in us, the hope of glory” (based on Colossians 1 v 27) for the † has complete redemptive value. We are a new creation, no more in condemnation. Glory be in our heavenly destiny reached in this new and blessed identity.
Glory be as the love and life of service of Jesus is reproduced in us. Glory be now and eternally as the Spirit enables this accomplishment, equipping us to serve Jesus’ purposes in all thoughts, words and deeds.
Glory be mightily. Glory be in the triumphant victory of our king of kings, now that holy love can never die. Life is restored to all fullness, dear Jesus.
“Through Christ,” dear Jesus, “Let us offer God an unending sacrifice of praise, a verbal sacrifice that is offered every time we acknowledge His name.” (based on Hebrews 13 v 15) Glory be in humanity united in faith and love through Jesus as Saviour. Glory be to the Almighty Trinity. Amen.
