“I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the mercy of God forever.” (Psalm 52 v 8)
Consecration is veneration with dedication,
The result of heeding the Spirit of holiness,
Whoever wishes to accomplish this through Jesus.
Jesus as Lord, Saviour, Master and Redeemer,
We have to learn to live this way.
We can do this, but only if we pray,
Pray day by day, regularly, lovingly, wholeheartedly.
Prayer has to be the basis of our friendship,
With each and everyone of the holy Trinity.
Without prayer there can be no veneration,
For prayer is the preparation for our dedication,
Built upon a holy relationship, highly meaningful.
We turn to the God of hope with us in Jesus,
By means of the Spirit poured out at Pentecost and afterwards. The Spirit strengthens, deepens and emboldens our faith.
Faith in the living Word of God, that is Jesus.
A faith that trusts all He says to us.
Believing in all our Brother accomplishes for us.
“I will praise You forever for You have done it and in the presence of Your saints I will wait on Your name, for it is good.” (Psalm 52 v 9)
“Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only does wondrous things! And blessed be His name forever! And let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen and Amen.” (Psalm 72 v 18, 19)
All glory ever be to the Lord Jesus, to the One whose love allows us to be adopted into His family to become His works in progress, moving towards being made a saint, someone entirely consecrated to the Father through the Son, by the Spirit.
All glory ever be through those consecrated, worshipping the Father by honouring the Son, the highest name, the name above all names, the name of such spiritual fame. Our Father planned this, for He is merciful.
All glory be to the Holy Spirit, the wise Counsellor, the faith Builder, the One who shapes our friendship with the Lord Jesus, so we can delight our Father readily. He is the Spirit of sanctity glorifying the efforts of humanity.
All glory be for our consecration. Being made holy is a lifetime’s journey of exciting discovery, the Lord Jesus accompanying us, the Holy Spirit safeguarding and lovingly directing us, to make sound progress in all the ways of holiness.
“If anyone among you has a problem, (s)he should pray. If anyone is happy (s)he should thankfully sing praises to God. If anyone is sick, (s)he should call the church leaders to visit so they can pray for him (her) and anoint him (her) with oil in the Lord’s name.” (James 5 v 13, 14, 15 The Truth)
All glory to the blueprint we are given as guidance, leading us into the way of holiness as we devote to the Lord Jesus, the Saviour, the Man from heaven.
“The prayer of faith will cause the sick person to be healed and the Lord will raise him (her) from his (her) bed of sickness,” (v 15) for our Father wants nothing but the best for us and provides this through His Son and Spirit.
All glory be to the body of Christ Jesus here on earth, ever praying seeking to obey, to become reverent in this way. “The prayer of anyone made acceptable in God’s sight is powerful and effective.” (v 16)
All glory be for our justification as the Lord Jesus’ brothers and sisters, our sinfulness forgiven at the † of our salvation. We are a redeemed people living with hope of a longer, better, holier future for all mankind.
All glory be to our consecration through the study of sacred Scripture, invaluable for building us up in faith, for developing a saintly character devoted entirely to serving the holy Trinity.
All glory be for repentance and all its most marvellous results, an extraordinary mercy ever at work because the Lord Jesus won this privilege for us at the † of His sacrifice.
All glory be as we “Seek to bring back anyone who wanders from the truth,” (James 5 v 19) by setting a good example and “Remembering this: whoever turns a sinner from his (her) evil ways, will save him (her) from death, because (s)he is freed from his (her) many sins!” ( v 19, 20)
All glory be to the †of Jesus, without which we could not become the family of God, our sins forgiven and forgotten. Our Father is full of compassion and ever merciful towards us.
All glory be as we worship, offering our prayer and good works for the benefit of society, asking for us all to be shaped, supported and daily guided in our quest for holiness, therefore practising all that is virtuous.
“LORD, I cry to You, make haste to me” I cannot manage to live wisely, not reverently with You as a Trinity. “Give ear to my voice when I cry out to You,” (Psalm 141 v 1) which I will hope to continue to do throughout life.
You are our Safekeeper, dearest Father, dear Brother and esteemed Holy Spirit. “Let my prayer be set before You as incense, the lifting up of my hands as the revering sacrifice” (v 2) as I seek and ask for mankind to be consecrated to You.
All glory be to the sense of hope, of joy and of peace, which we experience as we pray and endeavour to live through You, be in Your presence consciously, continually, according to Your power of love and Your mercy.
All glory be to Your unchanging purpose, that of our holiness, so we can live forever in Your heavenly company. Your promises as made known to us through the Lord Jesus, who fulfils these, these are utterly dependable, being fruitful.
All glory be to the revelation of holy wisdom and truth found in the Person of Jesus, living, dying, and rising again for us. “We have left behind the deceptiveness of the world and have taken hold of the one and certain hope of what lies ahead.” (Hebrews 6 v 19 The Truth)
All glory be to our Saviour Redeemer, the Restorer and Sanctifier as we now have direct access into the very presence of the throne room of heaven, ever dependent upon holy mercy.
All glory be through our confidence that He who began a good work in us, will bring this to completion, ever working with us “Until the day of Jesus Christ,” (Philippians 1 v 6) when our Saviour returns to claim us as His own.
All glory be as “Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness,” (Lamentations 3 v 22, 23) ever gracious and compassionate.
All glory be as all believers in the Lord Jesus, impacted upon by the Holy Spirit, can stay with confidence in their consecration, “ ‘The LORD is my portion; therefore I hope in Him’.” (v 24)
All glory be to the holy Trinity, through every soul who seeks to find their Saviour, who prays and perseveres in the quest for holiness and who consecrated, being sanctified by the Spirit in the Lord Jesus, venerates the †, ever offering all thanks for our salvation through works of Christian service. This is how the blessings flow.
“Oh, sing to the LORD a new song,” a song expressing all His glory. “For He has done marvellous things...gained the witness...made known His salvation, His righteousness revealed in the sight of the nations.” (Psalm 98 v 1, 2)
All glory be worldwide. “He has remembered His mercy and His faithfulness to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth...” (v 3) Amen.
