“ ‘I am with you always’.”
Matthew 28 v 20
United to Jesus in the Eucharist,
How vital this is for us.
For Jesus is the Lord of all holiness.
Although we are unworthy of our position as family,
Yet God in His mercy reaches out for us
In a wafer of bread, Jesus’ body,
And the communion cup of wine, His blood,
Both miraculously transubstantiated to heal us,
Lifting us onwards, forwards, upwards to eternity.
Oh how joyous is this celebratory sacrament
Meant to heal our waywardness as nothing else can.
Jesus, our communion, offered as He suffered.
The † means everything to us,
As the Spirit of sanctity forges our new identity.
We are being made holy, praise be!
Holy at the hand and command of the Trinity.
Receiving of the sacred body of Jesus and His precious blood to transform us.
Praise God for the Eucharist, Jesus helping, healing us.
How wondrous is His grace although we are unworthy.
Jesus, present on the altar, as at Your †,
We honour and adore You fully, wholeheartedly.
We desire to receive You, believe more and dine in You.
Thankfully, gratefully, we take in of Your divinity.
O most holy Three, Trinity, love’s harmony.
Thank You for the beauty You hold out before us,
Mankind united with God in the Eucharist.
Richly indeed we are blessed
To be completely possessed by You,
Through the sacred body and blood, consecrated, dedicated.
Truly it is our delight, not only our duty,
To receive of the Lord Jesus in the Eucharist.
Mercifully we have been brought to life,
Bought by the holy blood of Jesus, poured out for us.
So in joy we proclaim the Eucharist and celebrate.
For Saviour Lord Jesus, by Your † and resurrection,
You have set us free and this is the liberty we now name.
Our needy world of today, for this we pray
In You, through You, together with You.
Thank You Lord Jesus, for Your Eucharist.
What hitherto untold happiness now evolves.
Make us ever a part of this Redeemer, Saviour,
Holy, holy, holy Brother, Holy Spirit our Sanctifier.
We remember how our Father previously provided manna in the desert.
How joyous that for us, You are the food of life, Lord Jesus.
“ ‘Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you’.”
Exodus 16 v 4
“I am continuously with You; You hold me by my right hand. You will guide me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me in glory.”
Psalm 73 v 23, 24
Thank You for this promise being fulfilled as we are being made holy by sharing our life with Jesus. May His love transform us. All that I am Lord, I place in Your hands.
Lord Jesus, You promise to be with us always, so You will be, for You speak to us our God’s word of truth. Thank You for Your promise.
Your constant presence as verified in the Eucharist, will strengthen us for the works of service You call us to. May we do our part well.
Lord of all holiness, be ever with us, in us, to work through us. Feed us in Your anointed holiness, a divine love for mankind.
How privileged we are to be made Your family at the † of victorious forgiveness. Your righteousness allows us to be adopted as Your brothers and sisters.
It is in this graced position we journey home to heaven. Without You we are a lost cause. Heal us dear Lord, of all our wayward sinfulness.
You are our communion with our Father. There is no other excepting of course, Your very own Spirt, but then He counts as one with You and our Father, ever a Trinity.
May Your Spirit transform us as we admire and long to share in Your holiness. May divine love be at the centre of all we undertake, make as our life’s intention.
Devote us to our Father’s plans and purpose for us as we come to eat and dine at Your banqueting table. Let us strive to work and earnestly pray for holiness shared with You through Your body and blood.
To love, honour and serve our Father through You Lord Jesus, is our true delight and duty as we respond to the call to daily, consciously work at being made holy.
Let us say, pray ‘Alleluia. Amen. May this happen!’ I ask in Your wonderful name as Deliverer from all that is evil, as life’s fanfare, Lord Jesus. Ever be Lord of our holiness, for stay with us. Amen.
