“...we are all able to reflect the Lord’s glory.” (2 Corinthians 3 v 18 The Truth)
Called to a divine life
Freely gifted to us in Jesus,
By the Holy Spirit of love is our calling.
Together the Holy Trinity
Enable us to see life differently.
We are taught to look like God,
With eyes of love.
For this, we must be of God,
Living in Him, through Him.
We are all the fruit of His love.
It is love which gifts life to us in holiness,
In the Lord Jesus, the Victor over sin and death.
“The more that glory is revealed in us, the more like Him we become!” (2 Corinthians 3 v 18 The Truth)
Baptised into Him, we are gifted
A blessed life which is eternal.
Our identity as Christians offers the dignity
Of being adopted children,
Brothers and sisters of the Lord Jesus.
Mankind is reformed by His ministry.
Jesus as Lord, liberates us from evil.
We are brought to new birth in the Spirit,
The Spirit of the Lord Jesus,
He who is life to us in all fullness.
“So this glory that comes from the Lord is continually increasing in our lives because the Spirit of glory lives in us.” (2 Corinthians 3 v 18 The Truth)
Jesus is the promise of God’s love and forgiveness.
Who would not want a share in this?
Jesus offers us the blessing of grace and healing,
A release from sinfulness that we know peace.
It is for freedom that Christ Jesus has set us free.
Freedom from satan to be God’s children.
To forgive us our hedonism, materialism,
That the Spirit gifts us a new vision,
A revision of our ways, a fresh decision
To live in the mystery of God’s love for us,
The gift of salvation in Jesus’ living, dying and rising.
“Therefore we have no cause to be downhearted because by God’s mercy, we have been given this ministry of glory.” (2 Corinthians 4 v 1 The Truth)
Salvation and sanctification mean
That this divine image remains with us forever.
We have a Saviour and life is changed radically!
It is by living in Jesus, we enjoy holy blessings day by day.
Our task therefore, is to pray for all that is holy,
The holiness that can be shared with us by the Spirit,
As we learn to, yearn to, turn or return to Jesus.
Our Father accepts all who live through the Lord Jesus.
The loving wisdom of our Father is gifted in Him.
This has been God’s plan from the very beginning.
Created in God’s image, sinfulness has ruined this.
But we are called back by the love of Christ Jesus,
The favour of our Father, our very own personal Saviour.
All that is holy is within the ministry of glory.
“Give praise to Him, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. For He has blessed us through our life in Christ with every spiritual blessing that belongs to His heavenly kingdom.” (Ephesians 1 v 3 The Truth)
“This is because He chose us before He created the world to belong to Christ, to be made holy and blameless in His sight.” (Ephesians 1 v 4 The Truth)
To become holy and blameless is the essential requisite to becoming a part of the ministry of glory. “Because of His amazing love, He decided that we should be adopted as His sons (and daughters) when we place our faith in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 1 v 5 the Truth)
May the Holy Spirit cause everybody to do so, to turn or return to our Saviour Brother, proclaiming Him as Saviour, naming Him as the Lord and Word of life.
For it is through the Lord Jesus we offer our worship, we hope for heaven, we receive the blessings of grace, of free forgiveness. Jesus is our constant Helper and Protector by means of the Spirit.
May we be guided by wisdom, corrected when we go wrong, fixing our attention on what it means to become holy, living as we are asked and commanded to do.
Holy Spirit, Lord, strengthen please our willpower to become holy, worthy of being called a member of God’s family. Purify our heart, mind, will, imagination and conscience.
Lead us to repentance whenever we go wrong, either by mistakes made or sins of omission, and help us to resist all that is evil. We have to rise far above our human weaknesses.
Show us the pilgrim way forwards and keep us joyfully travelling, because we see the fruit of our efforts rewarded in greater numbers of people becoming attracted by our way of life.
This has to be the way the Lord Jesus teaches us, conquering anger, greed, apathy, self love, self-seeking, self righteousness and self aggrandisement.
Let us see ourselves as we really are, sinners called to become holy by committing our life to the Lord Jesus, prayerfully, becoming prudent in planning and courageous if we have to suffer.
May we be diligent in our efforts to live the holy way the Lord Jesus teaches us, for we are called to His ministry of glory where nothing and no-one defaces its fame.
Let us be diligent in our efforts as Kingdom builders in peace and justice, all manner of loving kindness, attempting to overcome poverty by the fairer sharing of the world’s resources.
May becoming prayerful, firm up our intentions and attention given to all that is holy, so our conscience is crystal clear, our conduct being without fault, blameless in holiness, our life well ordered.
May the power of holy love put us on our guard against human weaknesses, enable us to adhere strictly to the command to love at all times, so we finally reach the God given destiny of heaven.
We know our true happiness is in the future of the eternal company of the Holy Trinity, and that we must prepare for this now or else we will not be ready. Let us lose no opportunity to develop our will to become holy.
Lord God, we trust in Your goodness because of the life, death and resurrection of Your Son, the perfectly holy One sacrificed for our welfare. For this we offer all praise and thanksgiving.
May our days here be spent in Your wisdom and truth, love and mercy, and beauty of character, as taught by Jesus and made real to us by the Holy Spirit, may this experience make us holy as we pray.
Breathe on us, Holy Spirit of God, that our entire life reflects the love of the Lord Jesus, as gifted us in sharing His holiness, all to our Father’s ministry of glory, whereby we are called to serve in Jesus’ name, strengthened, supported and defended by You in all we desire, design, plan, purpose, say and do.
May we lead a life fully pleasing to our Father and rewarding to us, as we turn to Jesus to learn to share in all that is holy. May we be led safely through the valley of the shadow of death into the endless joy of heaven.
But in the meantime, keep us praying, dethroning ourself to make room for the King of Glory to reign in us, over us, through us, as we seek to give of the love of the Lord Jesus by living this out in daily life.
We cannot love, will not love fully, nor correctly without trace of self, unless we yearn to live like our Saviour Brother is motivated to do. Grant us the grace, please, to become conformed to the image of love our Brother presents to the world.
Come to each believer, O Holy Spirit of faith, enabling us to live a life of love, of hope, of peace, of joy because we have become virtuous in sharing the love of Jesus, our Father’s living Word manifesting the gospel message.
To do our Father’s will has to be our aim, our goal, to live in Jesus, seeking a share in His holiness so as to become an effective part of the entire ministry of glory, which reveals the life enhancing power of holy love world wide.
May it be that whilst we live, we live for the Lord Jesus, and when we die we belong to Him fully, so we will have the joy of claiming our destiny as a member of a family who are made holy.
Thank You for the many blessings of grace and favour which make this possible. May not one person be left out, for we will continue to pray for the profoundest, highest, richest blessing of the †, to be made ours, everybody’s!
Life starts anew in Jesus. The joy of His company thrills us, a sense of meaningful purpose, an adventure awakens in us and we break free from satan’s bondage, praise be! All of this happens according to Your favour, dearest Father of love, of mercy.
Happy the hearts that experience this in meeting with Jesus, a personal encounter, a rapture of love we never forget, for it is mind blowing! Jesus in His friendship, is our life given over to all that is holy.
The love You hold out to us dearest Father, we must gift back to You through our loving concern for each other, seeing how the Lord Jesus wills to live in each of us, to offer love through all of us.
This will be the full outcome of salvation. We pray for this to happen as the Holy Spirit makes us fruitful as Christian disciples, all our efforts made towards love in the Lord Jesus’ name, our claim to blessing and the ministry of glory.
Let us ever claim the power in Jesus’ name, that highest name in heaven and on earth, the name above all names, for His name as Saviour reflects Your loving mercy and steadfast kindness towards us, Father God.
Love is the light shining upon us in the way Jesus shows us, for His way is Your way, His truth is Your truth, and His power of love is Yours, as shown by the impact of the Holy Spirit, ever industrious with those who pray.
Self sacrifice is necessary, even to the extent maybe of suffering, aligning this to how the Lord Jesus has suffered, even died, for us, and upon a heinous †that we might receive forgiveness, justice for sin acclaimed.
When we suffer, let us offer this up to be a God given intention, a declaration of our faith in salvation. Healing love means everything to us, compassion and benevolence gifted in Jesus. May we then in seeking to find life’s answer in Him, be satisfied.
Satisfied to prayerfully discover and live by all that is holy, because it belongs to Christ Jesus, and is being blessed by the Holy Spirit to become an active, God blessed, part of the ministry of glory. Praise ever be to the Ministry of Glory.
“Be exalted above the heavens, Lord God! Your glory over all the earth! ...I will praise You among the peoples, Lord, I will make music for You, among the nations, for Your faithful love towers to heaven,” (based on Psalm 57 v 5, 9, 10 TNJB) shining over us in the love of Jesus.
“Be exalted above the heavens Lord God! Your glory over all the earth” (based on v 11) by the Lord Jesus being alive in us as happens by the Holy Spirit. “As for me, I will sing about Your power. I will shout with joy each morning because of Your unfailing love.” (Psalm 59 v 16 TNJB)
I thank You so much for the joy of knowing the Lord Jesus as Saviour and Healer, and for receiving of His and Your Spirit, breathing a new life of faith upon us. How richly blessed life becomes! Amen
