“He was filled with wisdom and God’s favour was upon Him ...Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favour with God and all the people.” (Luke 2 v 40, 52 NLT)
God gifts life to us, a life of faith.
He wishes for this to be led in holiness.
We cannot manage this left to ourselves.
Therefore lovingly, generously, God gifts us Jesus.
His Son become Man is perfect in holiness.
God is our ever caring Father.
He watches over us through Christ Jesus.
Jesus teaches the importance of love and obedience,
He models these virtues in full reverence.
Reverence is holy love put into words and action,
Through faith gifted by our baptism.
In faith we express openly our love for Jesus,
The living, abiding Word of God, our forever Saviour.
We are called to defend and promote our faith,
Doing so in each and every walk of life,
Without any strife of wrong doing,
With all its ensuing calamity and difficulty.
We seek to live in perfect harmony
Of thought, will, word, decision and action,
Shaped, influenced, inspired by the Holy Trinity.
Father, Son and Holy Spirit are one identity,
Steadfast in love, faithfulness, compassionate kindness towards us.
Fully, without any exception, we must conform
To God’s law of love, our life given to Jesus,
Our best Friend, Brother, Saviour and Redeemer,
That we live worthily, virtuously.
In humility, modesty, purity and charity.
Our reward is peace experienced as happiness,
The full happiness of sharing Jesus’ holiness.
Our faith must be expressed in honouring the holy name of Jesus.
His worldwide name of fame signifies Saviour.
“For He will save His people from their sins.” (Matthew 1 v 21)
We present our petitions to the Father in His name
His highly exalted, most glorious name of Jesus.
For by the merits of Jesus’ holiness our Father favours us.
He responds as if His Son was speaking
As long as our life is dedicated to remaining in Christ Jesus,
The King of Glory, Lord over us.
Faith in the Father’s love for us, given in Jesus experienced in the Spirit,
Made real to us, always to appeal to us,
Is active and effective by means of His Holy Spirit.
This is the most powerful spiritual force on earth.
Here is our joy, our hope, our benefit and blessing,
Addressing all areas and situations in life.
The Spirit supports us to fulfil the calling of Jesus,
A mission to work in His name, His name being love.
“Jesus called out to them, ‘Come, follow Me, and I will show you how to fish for people.” (Mark 1 v 17 NLT)
“If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing.” (1 Corinthians 13 v 2 NLT)
Let us pray in all praise and thanksgiving for a life of faith and the difference this makes to us and many others.
Let us pray in gratitude for holy love’s provision, protection and direction.
This is a Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. Let us pray thanking the Holy Spirit for all efforts made by Christians, to live as one in faith, hope and love.
Let us pray gratefully for the abundant life we experience in devoting each day to the Lord Jesus’ service.
Let us pray with thanksgiving for all acts of service given out of love.
Let us pray appreciating the Lord of Love, the Word of Life, Christ Jesus, who by the Holy Spirit, turns wavering minds intent upon conflict, away from this to seek peace through reconciliation.
Let us pray rejoicing in the gift of faith inviting us to experience the holiness, peace, hope and joy our Father offers us through faith.
Let us pray in confidence that the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace.
Let us pray appreciating the grace which encourages, equips and enables us to follow the Lord Jesus, adhering to His command to love all others as He has loved us.
Let us pray to praise the glory of us being brought fully alive by our faith in Jesus, practised under the influence of the Holy Spirit, ever to honour our Father.
“O GOD, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praise; even with my glory...I will praise You, O LORD, among the peoples, and I will sing praises to You among the nations,” (Psalm 108 v 1, 3) assured of Your victory over all sin and death. Amen.
