“Let them give thanks to the Lord for His loving kindness and His wonders to the sons (daughters) of men!” (Psalm 107 v 15 NIV)
Having been blessed by the presence of the Lord Jesus,
Be grateful, be truly thankful, be joyful!
For we are redeemed by grace and restored by favour,
When we savour life through the glorified Jesus.
Jesus, who sends us the anointing Spirit of love,
Then we live a life which benefits from trust.
“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” (Colossians 4 v 2 NIV)
There is no life more glorious than that which lives in and through Christ Jesus.
For here we have the input of the Holy Spirit,
The wise Administrator, Instructor, Adviser.
The Holy Spirit as Counsellor directs our attention to the Lord Jesus.
Blessings accrue through us turning to Jesus, God’s Son, our Saviour,
The Holy One who works wonders amongst us.
All holiness emanates from a life given to Jesus.
“Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.” (Colossians 2 v 7 NLT)
“In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5 v 18 NASB)
Lord, our desire to praise You in our thanksgiving for living in the Spirit, Your Spirit, and the Spirit of the Lord Jesus, this desire is in itself a gift from You. thank You
In praying to live through Jesus, by the Spirit, we learn that Your’s, dearest Father, is the kingdom, the power and the glory we experience.
May we ever grow to know this in our heart, as well as our mind. In receiving Your power of love, may we be loving in return. It is only by showing love to each other, that we can show our love to You.
May we be attentive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit, His direction, His correction and His guidance. It is good that the Spirit will convict us of sin and the need to focus on Jesus, our escape from evil.
Thank You that the Spirit of love convinces us through knowing, honouring and adhering to the Lord Jesus as Saviour and Master, how love is the guiding light of life.
Love in all its holy power, gifts us a God shaped purpose to everyday, living so as to be a blessing to many, as many as is possible. For this is Your loving plan, dearest Father.
May the quest to love and honour the Trinity ensure we live obediently, respectfully, our focus being ever on Jesus as the Prince of Peace and King of Glory, our hope for a holier society.
Let the power of holy love banish satan at all times for he is trouble in a big way. Teach us please, to pray our troubles away and pray to be strengthened in the face of trial, or any difficulty.
As satan destroys love’s opportunities, we must not grant him a foothold, but strive to prayerfully and actively banish him, calling on the highest, more powerful name of Jesus.
Jesus’ name stands for all that is good: justice, peace, truth, loyalty, love, compassion and anything that is really worthwhile, being of eternal value.
Thank You that our righteousness before You Father God, is established by Jesus and made known to us by the verification of the Spirit of mercy, He who reflects Your love for us.
Holy love is triumphant, fully victorious, most glorious, ever worthy of all our highest praise and thanksgiving. This is why we make the Lord Jesus our worship.
Lord, a life given to You is a life in need of continuous learning. Please keep sending Your Spirit of wisdom to us, for He lives according to truth and we must too.
Thank You that Saint Paul teaches us that we were bought at a price, the highest price of Your perfect life sacrificed for us. Ever all honour is due to You.
Also, this has far reaching implications for You, having shed Your blood to earn our forgiveness. We are called to become holy, to be temples of the Holy Spirit.
We grow by faith to know that we do not belong to ourselves, not at all! We belong to our Father of mercy, through Your work of atonement and the involvement of the Holy Spirit.
This too has certain implications. We grow to know our Father as the God of mercy, of all compassion. We learn to turn to Him through You, by the Spirit, to always seek His will and wishes.
God cares for us! “He is the God of all comfort, who daily gives us strength.” (2 Corinthians 1 v 4 The Truth) We would not recognise our Father’s faithful, steadfast kindness towards us, if it were not for You, Lord Jesus.
As it is, gifting us the knowledge of Your way of life and the Holy Spirit arranging for us to meet You personally, Lord, we know we are drawn nearer to our Father for a godly purpose.
“Yes, He sees us through all our difficulties, so that we are able to strengthen others in their trouble, with the same strength we have received from Him ourselves.” (2 Corinthians 1 v 4 The Truth cont)
What a most marvellous plan! “Father, all powerful and ever loving God, we do well always and everywhere to give You thanks.” (A traditional Catholic Prayer) We thank You for the gift of Your Son.
We thank You also, for releasing the Holy Spirit to us though the risen, ascended glorified Lord Jesus, the King of all creation. Together as a Trinity, the power of evil is broken by You.
All things are made new by our Brother Saviour, He who is Lord and the Word of life, a living hope, the fulfilment of holy promise to save us.
May everything in heaven and on earth never cease to praise You, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, for we must acclaim Your glory, us brought newly alive in Christ Jesus.
We have become a new creation, profoundly blessed to rejoice in the peace offering presence of our Brother, ever offering us love in all its holy power of the Spirit.
I ask that all of mankind comes to know who is our Saviour, who redeems us from all sinfulness, whose kingdom is set upon earth to give us a foretaste of heaven.
May we make real efforts to align ourselves with the divine heart of love the Lord Jesus shows to us, reflecting Your love and mercy, dearest Father.
Jesus as Lord and Saviour, is our highest worship, so we offer back to You a life given to Jesus, acknowledging His royalty, His supremacy, His authority.
May Christ be recognised, acclaimed and named as King throughout the entire universe. May He, by the Spirit, enthuse us to renounce satan and all his works.
Let us strive to satisfy the call to be zealous followers of the Lord Jesus, making good progress daily in all the ways of holiness, the way He teaches us.
May our poor efforts become well regarded, by being united to our Saviour Brother’s infinite merits, Father God. So much so, we always offer all praise as we pray.
“Bless the LORD, O my soul! O LORD my God, You are very great. You are clothed with honour and majesty.” (Psalm 104 v 1) We rejoice to learn of Your providence and protection, as given through Jesus by the Spirit.
Your eternal faithfulness is daily to be praised, our Brother esteemed and exalted, the Holy Spirit reverenced, and all of You as a Trinity, adored and admired with all warmest, fullest thanksgiving, both in prayer and the decisions we take as to how to live to give You the glory.
Let us ever make Jesus known as Saviour, “Talk of all His wondrous works! Glory in His holy name,” (Psalm 105 v 2, 3) that name which is shared by the Trinity, for it is the name of love and mercy, our Benefactor.
May everybody who seeks to find holiness, find the life of Jesus as shared with us by the Holy Spirit and rejoice to know this is Your marvellous work of salvation, Lord God.
This is a truly amazing grace to be enabled to offer our life in service of our Saviour. May each and every life given to our Saviour, become glorious in holiness. Amen
